November 8th, 2011 Tuesday Tales, Wedding.

I woke up hungover, man that was some party last night.  My best friend was standing over my bed.  Wake up!”

“Why?  It’s Sunday and my head hurts.  That was some party we had last night.  Why do I have to be up so damn early, I’m not going anywhere.”

My best friend Tommy looked at me as though I had three heads, all of them empty.  “What was the party for last night?”

“I don’t know, don’t we always party on Saturday night?”

“This Saturday night had a theme, think long and hard.   Time’s up, bucko, it was for you.”

“Why it’s not my birthday?”

“Uh fool, why am I here with you?”

“To make sure I got home safe?”

“Well yes, and…  Do you remember who Kathy is?”

“Is this multiple choice?  She’s my fiancee of course!”

“And what do you NORMALLY do with and to fiancees?”

“You marry them!”

“Very good, Sherlock.  So what’s today?”

“Oh my God!  It’s all coming back to me now!  The stripper!  The booze!  The cake!  Today’s my wedding!  Did I miss it?”

“Luckily, you numbskull, no you didn’t or your life AND mine, would not be worth the paper our birth certificates are printed on.  Your tuxedo is pressed and ready to go.  You better go through with this, pal.  You’re the fool who proposed to the daughter of Louis the Lip.  If you want to continue living a long and happy life, I know I do, you’ll get up, you’ll drink coffee and you’ll get dressed.  All in that order.  Otherwise, Louis the Lip won’t have to kill you, I will!”

Ah yes, my wedding.   To Kathy Imperato.  Yeah, time to get up for today’s my wedding day!
