For those who don’t know who Thomas Nast was, he was a famous cartoonist of the 19th Century.    In my Moriarty sequel, I’m having him beaten up by Irish thugs because of Nast’s anti-Irish and anti-Catholic attitudes (Nast drew the famous fighting leprechaun cartoon, now used as the emblem for Notre Dame).  I am also having Holmes drawn to investigate in Morristown, New Jersey, I town I know well.  His house in Morristown is a familiar place.
