The Naughty Philosopher on Arranged Marriages?!

The Naughty Philosopher is all for romance.  Certain things in our modern society are making me think of how changes might come down the road.

Arranged marriages are still common in much of the world and were common in almost all the world, until not many centuries ago.

Now you have the Internet.  Maybe it will be a mixture of the two, bringing people together by algorithm, but when they meet, the chemistry still have to be there.

Again, because of the Internet, it is easy to research a potential partner.  You can find out things that might put a stop to the relationship.  Are they going to drain your finances?  Do they have family issues you need to know about and deal with.  You might want to find out what sort of drama they have in their lives.

It takes all the romance out of it, but trends come and go and in these stressful times, why add to the stress? 🙂
