My friend Bonnie also grew up in Brooklyn and now lives in Toronto, teaching English as a second language.
I only ask one question: I’m from Brooklyn and now write. If my childhood language was Brooklynese, Bonnie, do I qualify for English as a Second Language? Well, writing does improve ones grammar and word use. Though I can always use a little help. What happens when I go to the United Kingdom though? Do I need to learn a third form of English?
Sorry, I am on a silly rant. I needed one after the Newtown, Connecticut shooting on Friday.
