Yesterday, we went to the Mormon Research Library. Ancestry.com broke the results farther. Elaine was able to go farther with her work. She was able to trace her father’s ancestor coming from Scotland to Prince Edward Island to Boston. Her mother’s ancestry is 76% Irish, hardly a surprise, as she put it.
My ancestry is 90% European Jewish. I also discovered there are more Charton’s who are Jewish than I could have possibly imagined. Not a small family.
I was wondered about the Napoleonic solider who deserted on the campaign to and from Russia in 1812. Ironically, I found a British soldier named John Charton, who fought and won awards in the Napoleonic Campaigns.
I will get help with looking through the Polish sources. Balancing this with my writing. Interesting journey.
