I am African American, I Only Came Here to Shop.

In New York City, my hometown, Macys and Barney’s are in the proverbial kennel, I mean doghouse for profiling African-American shoppers.

I thought of writing this, because I saw the story on Erin Burnett about Chris Brown being arrested again for violence.  Is Chris Brown getting a free pass, because he’s an entertainer?  Doesn’t that create a level of racism saying; “Oh, that’s what they are like anyway.”  I guess the person he and his goon beat up was African-American, so no race angle.  How long will it be, before Chris Brown gets free passes all the way to going too far and murdering someone?  At least THAT will get more attention than the kids being gunned down in places, such as Chicago’s poor neighborhoods.

So now, we have respectable people, African-Americans living by the rules and my capitalism, spending their earned money in high level stores and getting in trouble for it?

I guess having an African-American President has not helped that any.  At least he is recognizable.  Otherwise, could you imagine it.  “I am the President of the United States!”  “Yeah right, as he is carted away.  I am being silly and tongue and cheek, but the incidents in question are not funny at all.
