You Have to Be On Your Game at All Times.

My rent paying job at Chamberlain Group, provides me with some positive things.  When troubleshooting, I’m forced to think several moves ahead.  I always have to be on my game, and become angry when I’m not.

My wife has health problems from a tumor in her ear that was dealt with.  It messed with her balance though, she has fallen and broken things and has arthritis and osteoporosis.

When I walk with her, I have to be ready at all times.  No margin for error.

Why am I telling you this?  Don’t have to learn discipline when you are older.  While as a writer, I certainly don’t want to stamp out creativity, the Boy Scouts are right, you always have to be prepared.

You have to be ready to handle the unexpected.  To think moves ahead.  We need to become a more disciplined society and by that I don’t necessarily mean a warrior society.  I mean disciplined, the best entrepreneurial and leadership types singled out, and we keep certain things in mind.

Again, discipline does not have to mean repression.  Just being ready and alert.
